Frontier Call Forwarding Instructions
This is a cheat sheet for Frontier customers looking to direct their incoming calls to an answering service. Let’s walk through the various ways you can set up call forwarding on your Frontier phone—whether it’s general call forwarding, no answer, or busy forwarding. With call forwarding, you will never miss an important call—and always help customers when they need it the most.
Unconditional Call Forwarding
- Lift the receiver and dial
*72once you hear the dial tone. - Once a second dial tone begins, input the 10-digit number provided to you by your answering service.
- Call forwarding will be activated once the phone is answered and you hear the confirmation tone.
Exceptions:
- For Indiana (Citizens and Fairmount), Illinois, Pennsylvania, Alabama, and Wisconsin, dial
72#. - For Rhinelander, dial
72#. - For Frontier Voice customers in Connecticut, dial
72followed by the forwarding number.
No Answer Call Forwarding
- Lift the receiver and dial
*92, then listen for a special dial tone. - Enter the number of rings before forwarding.
- Enter your 10-digit forwarding number.
- Call forwarding will be activated once the phone is answered and you hear the confirmation tone.

- For Seneca Gorham, dial
52. - For Rochester, dial

Busy Call Forwarding
- Lift the receiver and dial
*90, then press Talk. - When the special dial tone begins, enter the 10-digit forwarding number.
- Enter the
#symbol and hang up.

Selective Call Forwarding
- Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone, then press
*63. - Follow the voice prompts to manage your forwarding list.

3to activate or deactivate the service. - Press

No, you cannot forward text messages from your Frontier phone to another number or answering service.
